About

Through talk and play therapy, creative interventions, connection and support, I strive to help children believe in themselves. Using a variety of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques and activities, we will create goals, develop a positive plan, and break down problems into manageable parts. Some examples of areas we might focus on include self-regulation, impulse control, emotional expression, thought challenging, relaxation, communication, problem-solving, and assertiveness.

Young children, elementary-age, and early adolescence:

- Self-esteem

- School issues

- Anxiety and depression

- Isolation

- Regulating emotions and Anger management

- Adjustment / Coping with changes (new sibling; moving to new home or school; loss of family member, friend, or pet; illness; separation/divorce)

Parenting:

- Adjusting to a new baby / Coping with major changes

- Toddler years: positive discipline techniques; teaching through play

- Assistance creating daily routines and structure
