Katie Brugger, LPC

As a child therapist, I am passionate about helping children navigate their big feelings and find healthy outlets. I truly believe that no child wants to be unhappy or oppositional. They are learning to manage life's highs and lows, which can be both confusing and overwhelming. I have extensive experience working with children and their families to identify obstacles, create goals, implement a plan, and learn new skills.

My professional experience includes school counseling in public and cyber schools, individual and group therapy for children and adolescents, early intervention services for special needs, early childhood education, and outpatient clinical therapy.

After graduating with my first master's degree (educational psych), I worked throughout South Jersey for eight years providing in-home individual and family-focused therapy. In my work in foster, kinship, and adoption services, I gained training and knowledge in issues of trauma, separation, grief, loss, and attachment.

Regarding my education, I have a master’s degree in mental health counseling (MS Ed., University of Pennsylvania), as well as a master’s degree in educational psychology (MA, Montclair State University). For undergrad, I attended The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) where I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology.
